I started out as a baker. I was obsessed with the science of it, the discipline. I still am, but eventually I rounded out my skills as a cook, by constantly taking in tv shows, books, magazines, you name it! Alton Brown, Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse, these guys were my heroes, and it wasn't long until I felt I was ready to up my game.
Then in 2010, my wife and I decided to start up The Salivation Army! Sabrina really picked up the cooking bug, and even though I had been cooking for a few years before her, she started to come into her own. She is definitely the Slow-Cooking QUEEN, and has a keen eye for broth and sauce making. Sabrina is a master in the art of braising.
Look, our goals are simple... we want our pics to reflect the food, and to shoot them right before we eat. No fussy food stylist tricks, just the real deal! We really want to share our experiences, share recipes... some we find, some we make, but ALWAYS delicious! And, we would also love to hear from you!! We want to share our results, and discuss any possible tweaks to the recipes.
We have grown a lot, and are always hungry for more! Crazier dishes, funkier flavors, (but not TOO funky) and we really want to elevate the concepts we think of, or come across. HAPPY COOKING!!
